Full rebuild ! (Again)

So, it's time to fix my creaks and knocks, and my shitty brakes, AGAIN !!

Wading in mud soup and general mud driving seriously kills everything very quickly. So got my baby on the lift at my mates and I'm replacing brakes all round, all my steering links, and another front wheel brg

Mot in feb mate, just getting it ready for a winter of PAIN

Mates only got vw/Audi equipment as he's a ex vw dealer master technician and now an independent specialist

New brakes all round, it stops on a sixpence now, and the slight play in all my track rod ends and relay link added up to loads of slop because the steering is sharp as hell now !! Drives like bloody Bentley

surprised you get away with it on a road going motor, I have lost track of the number of times I have done the brakes on my off roader, they wear very quickly, Rick

It's the first time I've got hbrake in 6 months, trailing shoe had about a thousand of an inch in it

After much deliberation I mounted them back to front as they are more aggressive apparently, both braking and cutting the face of the pad

Groove direction apparently makes some difference

Cheers guy's will put them in my watch list:thumb2 have fitted Tar-ox disc's to a few motors over the years & liked the better pedal feel & stopping power but still managed to warp the ones on my old mondeo:doh but I don't care as I hated that motor & traded it in for my first Terrano:thumbs
