Fuel tank wanted

Am I in the right section ? ..... fuel tank leak so failed MoT .... anyone got a contact for a fuel tank for Maverick 2.7 td ? rest of car immaculate so would be a shame to 'write it off' ..

Are you sure it's the tank and not the fuel lines to or from the tank?:augie
Pipes are a common problem on these
If it is the tank get squirting the WD40 now cause their a bitch to get off
Scrap yard or ebay for best prices OR if you're luck ask Jimmy92, he's often breaking them:thumbs

thanks makeitfit .... fuel line renewed earlier this year ... def the tank .... phoned the local nissan dealers ... they say there are 8 different tanks listed for this model and they dont know which one it is but they'll make a guess .... but nissan have a 'no returns' policy on this item .... soooo I could end up paying £345 plus vat for a tank which ain't the right one .... niiice !

if you can find the leak and if you are going to take it off to fit a new one ,you may well find it, their are lots of apoxy resins etc that will patch it up.(long sentance,sorry)

I had a quick spy on ebay this morning and there's plenty breaking. Also if you look under the auctions there's a link to tank repairs etc.
