Leaking fuel pipes , fuel filter sucking air ?

if i place can of fuel direct to fuel pump ,leave can under bonnet its ok .use long pipe to rear not enough suction its 2001 2.7 tdi

When you say long pipe to rear are you using the pipes that are on the car or just using a longer piece of rubber hose to simulate the length

Using 4 meter length into can

Connect the 4m pipe to the input on fuel filter for better simulation. If this is still ok then its fuel pipe sucking in air cos its fkd. Hope this helps. David.

All sorted removed pipe to pump, then removed union that banjo screws into,found that union wasn't very tight.Retightend union rebuilt seems ok now
