When I start my motor in the morning , if I dont pull out the hand throttle and leave it running at high revs for a while !, It will loose power and cut out !,(About 50 yrds up the road), It then takes a good few turns of the engine to get it started again !.once it starts it runs fine ,I think it could be air in the fuel line !,

Any ideas Guys

John

Definately air in the system, check the return hoses, and then look out for corroded pipes along the chassis.

What about the mini filter as per the downloads section. Won't harm to check it will it.

My old terrano used to do the same, Our drive slopes down and if i backed it down so as the bonnet faceing up hill it would allways do as yours does. So allways drove it down bank after that. Had 7 years out of the old girl then with no prob,s. May not be the answer you wanted but got it of my chest :lol

if it worked dont knock it..

might just show as a DAMP area, as its sucking in air, not leaking fuel all over the place.

I park mine on a slope with the front uphill ! will try it the other way + check the pipes !,
It has being doing it before and after changing the fuel and mini filter !.

my navara did the same, check the o ring on the fuel filter is sealing properly by over tightening the fuel filter a bit. if you use after market or pattern jobbies, the seal is thinner than an oem type. this ties in with park it downhill too, as the fuel filter will be the highest point if parked uphill allowing air in the system.
1/4 turn more and see what happens mate

check the glow plugs, they should be on for awhile after starting, or so i am lead to believe, i might be why it is a problem restarting. terra or toolbox may be able to confirm for you, :nenau:thumbs
