ok, so i got a small air leak. sucking in air, and alowing fuel to drain back so starting is a pain.

any reason i cant replace the fuel line in one, from tank to filter, or should I leave the metal tubes in and just cut out where i think the leak is?

tar...

Zippy, I would change the lot, just make sure it's well clipped and pipe clips are tight.:D
Return pipe is smaller than the flow.
Also it could be the pressure valve on the pump for some reason.

i can see air bubbles coming through the pipe off the bulk head. so will do flow pipe first, was going to use clear pipe as I have done before, and tie it above the original one. so its out the way.

Be careful to get the proper pipe as many clear ones arent fuel line stuff, they'll fail soon and go brittle and trip up old ladies

seems way too expensive, although I've never bought clear fuel line before.

My Pathfinder had this issue for a week or so after purchase but mainly when the tank was below half. I've bleed the filter and all seems well at the minute.
I was convinced it was drawing air in to begin.. but I also read about X-trails doing this and needing to be bled every 2000 miles or so in one users experience. Hope it doesn't come to that.

The other more likely explaination is that the tight arse dealers have let it run out of fuel and not bled the system properly after filling it up as the filters water drain was totally dry.. most odd.

Time will tell!
