fuel leak

So just recently thier has been a bit of a fuel leak not from the rear but somewhere in the engine bay. from the left hand side of the engine to be exact, its pooling on the lower chassis and running gear. gonna have a good look next week but any pointers as to what it mite be before i get my tools out.

Left side as you look at it or left side as in the pasenger side.

Fuel pump is one one side and the filter on the other.

Best idea is to jet wash the engine bay let it dry off, then run the car for awhile and look to see where its getting wet.

Left side as you look at it. i know its not the fuel filter side of the engine as i recently changed it. im thinking fuel pump or connections and a good idea about giving it a clean first

Yes, alway better to clean it before trying to find a leak.

I had fuel leaks on my 2.7 LHS, it was the cloth covered rubber pipes that link the injectors, a bit fiddly to do but easy enough.

Yes i had the same problem, it turned out to be the leak off pipes, easy job to replace and cheap too

Well back to this old one again looks like it is no1 injector leaking as its got a nice puddle around it. i did the leak off pipes back in the summer. im thinking there are seals fitted to the injector which have gone. has any one else had this ?.

I remember when I had done my leak off pipes, I had a leak about a year later and it turned out to be one of the pipes leaking again, this time it was from the end one that has a plug in it, just fitted another new piece and sorted it out

The leak off pipe nozzles on top of the injectors are very delicate and can crack if bent slightly

Yeah checked them and there all good dont think iv ever completly cured this problem. iv clean up the fuel pooling around the injector and wull check it in a few days before i pull it all out.
