have just removed my fuel sender unit and float from the fuel tank and checked it, it is giving the correct resistance at various levels Full (approx 7), Half and Empty (approx 280 - 290) resistance is smooth as you move the float arm up and down, so can only think that the problem is with the instrument clusted have had that apart and can not seen any problems with it, wondering weather to get another cluster to see or does anyone have a solution? (not worried about milage display but would like fuel gauge to work)

The tdi is more electronic than the Td, so it might even go via the ecu.

It cost me £100 last week to sort out my fuel gauge, it was showing empty, and after spending £100 it now shows full.:doh

80 litres lol
