Looking at the work shop section, it shows how to change a fuel filter on the 2.7, is it the same sequence for the 3.0?
 
Go to Briggies manual site and get the manual. Don't know for sure but is it the R50. David
 
Virtually the same but no sensor. Well not on mine. Just done mine but couldn't undo the filter it was on that tight. I carefully inverted the filter and bolted it back in upside down to crack the filter loose without loosing any fluid. Then as described in the download section. Took a few goes of starting up and priming to get all the air out but an easy job to do. :thumb2
