hoping to get my fuel filter changed this weekend weather permitting. ive got the download from the workshops but are there any pitfalls i should watch for or any advice from anyone that has done it before??

I think the workshop covers it very well, although I would not advise tipping the fuel you drain from the old filter back in to the new filter, you could end up contaminating the new one before you even start.

i thought that!! ive got fresh diesel ready!!

i added Forte diesel treatment straight into the the filter then primed the old beast and she started first time.

As above I put Forte or a blob of Millers straight into the filter before assembly.

Don't waste the diesel in the old one (especially at current prices). Either keep it in a jar for cleaning parts or pour it back in through a piece of denim etc.

Oh, hang on is that a moth in me wallet :)

HI when I did my filter filled it up with injector cleaner. primed and fitted, seemed to do it good. This was recomended to me by a mechanic friend of mine.
