Anyway I was looking in my works car park noticed a small oily patch. Thought maybe my axle seal was going. Put a tray under it and nowt. Went past the vehicle today noticed oil substance near the fuel flap. Anyway turns out I forgot to put the fuel cap on. :doh

Going to the fuel station where it happened tommrow but if they don't have it I am going to a scrap yard to try and get one.

It's hard to say what type it is, All I know it was red.

Any idea of other vehicles with a cap that might fit other than the terrano?

I can't really order online as it will take ages to arrive (huge backlogs with royalmail and couriers at the moment). I also want to do some greenlaning/offroading this weekend too.

on your fuel flap have you not got the holder to put your cap in whilst filling up?i now it smacks of gate and horse bolting but when you get another one might be an idea:nenau

Any petrol station will sell a micky mouse one to see you right till you can get a new 'proper' one!
Should only be a couple of quid... which if you can afford to fill your tank to the brim and spill it all over the road should be no prob for ya!! :D :D :D

Mine always falls off the holder and rolls under the exact centre of the car. I now stick it in the pump trigger to keep it filling up while I check the rest of the fluids/scrape the crap off the headlights/scream abuse at the nearest landrover driver.

I didn't know about the holder. Thanks for the offer refrex, I may take you up on it.

I am thinking about making some chain link so next time its always attached to the vehicle.
