As per title, in my front wipers the rest position is on the upward position.

When i disconnect the relay, i can control it manually.
I replaced the relay and the problem continues, so not the problem.

Any ideas on what to test next?

Sounds like a problem with the park contact in the wiper motor to me - I am assuming that the wiper linkage has not been meddled with recently.
Had similar issue on a Nissan Micra years ago with rear wiper- I lived with it by switching off when blade was in the right position as in the end the park mode just packed up.

OK them.

Need to replace a complete motor due to a switch gone wrong?

solarman216, just need to join more parts!!! :D

You could go for Manual Parking !!

The park contact in the wiper motor is part of the complete wiper motor unit - you might be able to repair the problem if you can get inside- in my experience it is quite difficult to repair the contact itself as it is usually in a sealed section.

Wear on the brass/copper contact or a broken bit of plastic is all it takes for it to fail and they take quite a bit of current.

I repaired one years ago on a Mini, my repair only lasted a few weeks. With the pain of getting it out, disconnecting the links etc easier to replace.

You could just disconnect the power to the park contact and then switch off only as the wipers sweep to the bottom -what a pain!

That is what i'm doing now.
Without the front wiper relay that is the behaviour.

Well this is the thread I chose to post your pic, as you can see there are two types of HL motor, which is yours left or right? and just check the wiper motor connector is the same as yours, Rick
