Hi

Wondering by any chance, if anyone has a front passenger side wing for sale?

Mine has decided to turn into rust! I have seen one on ebay for just under £100....not sure if that is a reasonable price though.

Many thanks!

Sadly most of them do the same, makeitfit did a good thread on repairing the wings.
Ive seen fibreglass replacements on ebay for about £100

I think you can get GRP one's for them, someone will confirm. I know one of the members on here was selling a new wing, a while back, Rustic will find the thread I'm sure.

Cool thanks guys!

GRP sounds like a better idea! Or I guess a repair would be possible as it is the lower front part of the wing. Just behind the indicator. I can't get a photo at the mo as the truck is at a garage again, for the sills getting welded/replaced....

Spot on! Thanks peeps!

Makes sense to me to buy new and wings that don't rust! I'll get right on it!

Cheers!

+1 :thumb2

I would also like to know if they fit OK and all the cut outs etc are there and in the right places. I assume that you would be able to get the original paint matched and the new wings sprayed up to match?

What sort of price would I be looking for to get two front wings sprayed up?

Do what Rick did, get the colour made up with some primer and lacquer :thumb2

The only problem a friend of mine found with the plastic ones was that they're thicker than steel and he had difficulty fitting the indicator side repeater. David.

Either profile the inside of the wing for the clips by thinning or filing, or silcon them in. I would have thought.

If you have to change a bulb, you can always remove the inner liner.
My bulbs are still the original, over 20 years, or fit new bulbs or LED.

Update!.........Finally!

Sorry for not getting back on here sooner. Life is keeping me busy and not letting me sort my truck!

So I received the new wing about two weeks after placing the order, and it looks like it will fit ok. I took it down to a local body work garage and they reckon to rivet the old metal bracket, in replacement of the fibre glass one. Which is on the top rear of the wing.

But that is as far as I have got! Rubbish! I know. Hoping to get it fitted next month.....

Here is the new wing....looking a bit lost.....

Fibreglass here too, although I've done away with the repeaters, fit seems ok and nothing a trim won't cure if not.
