The plastic that is on the inside roof of the front wheel arches apart from gathering mud and other offroading bits is it actually needed at all
 
Actually looking to get a replacement for mine as it's missing on the drivers side, that's also the side that needs welding at the body mount area up front.

If nowt else, they cover that part up at mot time, and if fitted right the tester's not allowed to move them to find the nasty rust! Not an ideal fix, but can keep you rolling for few weeks while you sort something out.

If you're buying a T2, have a look behind these though.

yeah thats also how my body mount was missed last mot, but they now off cos of my mud tyres so welder b out soon
