Hi

I am new to 4x4's and Nissan Terrano's in particular. Today I have had to change a CV boot and find I do not seem to have free wheeling hubs fitted to my 5 door 2.7td manual 2002 model. Is this normal?... the handbook clearly indicates they should be there but no!!! I have a splined end plate (where the freewheel hub should be which just connects the driveshaft to the hub via 5 or 6 small bolts... It all looks correct (as in always been there) but there is no mechanism inside and the cover is too small to fit the clutches in. Was free wheel hubs an option on this vehicle?? Help as I need to know if I have bought a bad one. :(

They stopped fitting auto hubs as standard on later ones dont know if it was offered as an option

think you could have the newer version front hubs . so you wont have free wheeling hubs

Thanks for the reply.... guess the next question is can I retro fit the free wheel hubs or is it not worth the effort/cost???
