Any of you guys got a guard that bolts under the front from the cross member to the radiator cross member. I haven't one and it's like a plough.. RICK!
Not bothered what colour as I'll probably get it chromed:lol

I guess Rick (Solarman) would have a sump guard, or bash plate as some would call them, but Rick has probably mangled a few, so might not have any straight ones left.
They are only held in with around 5 M6 bolts, some have enlarged the holes and tapped them M8, not sure if there is enough metal in them for that though.

Rustic

Yeh five, they shear like most things on them do :doh so drilling and tapping for m8 is a natural step

I knew you'd have some. :thumbs I'll er take 1 please. Could you bring it to the Wales meet as that's why I want one :thumb2

Have you checked the holes?

Holes? Not too worried pal. I'll fix it on with sticks and berries. :lol

I'll have a selection of fixings with me, cable ties, gaffer tape, string, you know, usual stuff. May even bring some nuts and bolts! :naughty

:lol check the bolts that hold the plate on aren't still in the truck and snapped off mate, thats prob why plates not on anymore, it would be crap to get to wales and not be able to fit it, you'd have to drive the chicken lanes :p

I will have drills and screws to sort, Rick

Lovin it lovin it lovin it. Thanks Rick.
I will check the holes T-Doug. Hopefully they didn't change how many or where the fixings are over the years. Would someone be able to take a photo of theirs for me? Would be muchly appreciated
:clap

A pic of their what?

Not needed they are all the same and most will be sheared off as the bolts were too long by 15/20mm so the exposed thread rusted and while you could usually turn them a few turns once the rusted but hit the captive nut it stuck and sheared, drill it out and replace is easy, Rick

That's what I'll do Rick. Thanks. Again! ! :bow

I've a few holes and they're all clear. They look like captive nuts though, unless I'm looking at the wrong ones. Could someone take a photo of a skid plate either on or off a truck? And I'll work it out :thumbs
Cheers.

Drill out the oldM6 bolts if they are there. Then re tap with M8
The std 6mm bolts stand little chance. M10 would be ideal but there's not enough nut for that .
