well guys and girls, what a nightmare i have had!
bought a front downpipe and gaskets to suit and have had ats in harlow fitting it for me to my 94 2.7td maverick.
2.5 hours later and a lot of swearing and it is done!
they had to take the complete exhaust off and the gear box cross member. even then it was a struggle for space even with it high in the air!
i would not recommend anyone with out a lifting platform and oxy-acetylene and two brutish guys on hand to do this yourself!!
you have be warned!
any other people on here had nightmare jobs to be done on their mavericks?

Mine was done from the manifold back with no problems :nenau

We just cut all the bolts off & replaced with new when putting the said exhaust on :D

over the past month i have been replacing the exhaust from the rear forward myself.
got to the downpipe, and i didnt want to touch it!
if i did i think i would still be struggling now!
with no other car i couldnt afford for this beast to be off the road very long

Middle and rear easy job, no need even for a jack, do it all from the ground.
Only problem is sometimes the exhaust hangers sieze, but are repairable with M8 bolts. or you can find them on ebay.
Thinking on... my rear section is the original from 1995.:clap
Ok.... I replaced the middle and rear and the rear was ok so I de-rusted it and painted it, stored it for a few years in the garage loft.

I used quick fit to do the front pipe, and they had quite a job, a couple of hours, they knew what needed doing and explained what they would do. They advised me to go shopping...:augie

I done my front pipe by removing the front prop and then undoing the bolts from underneath using a super long extension. The nuts were quite tight, but came undone with some wd40, a wire brush and a breaker bar

done my front pipe last month took just under an hour, removed the front shaft and gearbox cross member loads of room and straight forward job done.
some one at a fast fit centre did tell me you need to take the torsion bar off total rubbish.
oh and done the clutch in 4.5 hours alot easier than i thought.
cheers eboy.
