My 31" coopers catch slightly on full compression.

If I hit a steep dip or hump fast, the front will bottom out :doh

Would Uprated oil filled shocks prevent the front bottoming out so easy ?

is the front the right height as torsion bars might need adjusting

you could always slow down? but seeing jow you drive i suspect that wont happen

How fast are you hitting these lumps :lol
Oil filled shocks are better at low speed off road stuff for sure but if you're driving like you mentioned a few months back, You'll need Fox Racing shocks or similar. There's a lot of weight up front on these obviously and if you hit a hole at speed going down hill for example, the truck will carry on downwards :augie
Are your bump stops in place properly btw ?

Do they have front bump stops :nenau

rears are off, but rear is sound

I'm talking about hiting dips and peaks at 40+

Do fox make a shock that would fit ? prolly not, I guess it would be a proper custom fit job

I've seen those red koni raid shocks and I think they do one, but they're like £350 each :lol more pressing stuff to do before then

How much of the inner arch did you remove? I have cut back most of it as It was rusted away when i did my repairs.

Nah, its the outer arch where it catches, on the screws/brackets of my 'sport' wheel arch extensions

My wheels have a massive offset over standard, they stick out about 25mm past the arches, prolly an mot fail :lol

ah right, A 2" body lift will help that and improve rear articulation or a 2" spring lift

Mine also stick out

it's only a matter of time, But I live in the sticks.

All that happens if the police stop you is they give you a Police Vehicle Defect Form. You then put your standard wheels on and go and get the ticket signed at an mot station, then take the ticket to your local police station.

Then you put your wheels back on ...

Nope
They can do you for dangerous vehicle :(

Might have to look at putting some 50mm rubber strip round inside of my arch extensions sticking out to cover tyres

Conveyor belt is brill for the job if you can acquire some :naughty
I used some uPVC window strip stuff, 6m x 50mm about 90p :clap
Screwed that onto the plastic wheel arch thing and sprayed black, simples and muchly cheap :D That'll please your missus :lol

Actually, after googling it would seem its the tread that matters, as seen from above, sidewall can bulge but you should not be able to see any tread looking down from above tyre, looks like I might just be ok
