just wondering my t2 drivers footwell is soaked and water is just over the plastic mat. door seals seam ok have sunroof so wondering what area could be letting water in. roof lining is dry

Could be the sunroof drain is blocked.
A tube runs down to behind the front mudflap and this area gets full of mud.
Clean out the area with hose pipe.

Common fault but very few ever seems to be able to figure out where it comes from :lol

Common areas of ingress are;

Door Seals - Just because they look OK, don't discount them, sit inside and get someone to hose the door or watering can etc and watch for water.

Sunroof Seals - Check the actual seals and also the 2 drain pipes either side of the seal

Wing Mirror - Check behind the plastic black trim for openings

More seriously however, it could be that your heater matrix has gone pop which is a ballache of a job, get some kitchen towel and mop it up and check the colour of it and smell it, if it's green/red/blue and smells sweet then you've found the culprit which unfortunately means you're taking out the dash :(

Smells ok and checked water yesterday in rad I Soppose on a good note I can't have any holes that need welding up in the floor

Good news then, means you wont be removing the dashboard, unless your coolant system is full of pure water :p

You might not have any holes at the moment but you soon might if you don't fix the leak you soon will have

Carpets going to come out in next few weeks as want to check the whole floor and do any welding if needed before mot in winter

Two other places are:-

There is a cover plate under the black trim panel the Windscreen wipers go through, that sometimes needs re-sealing.

Also, if it happens while you are driving rather than parked up, there is a seam between the floor pan, and the wheel arch, and the wheels flick the water through here, if it has started to rust at all. I think either Clivy or RIcho did a right up on it a couple of years ago.

Will look only noticed it the other day as sometimes I leave her sat for. Week or my partner drives it as she prefers it over my volvo

Haha, it's funny how birds always moan about these big cars on the road bullying other road users, but you give them a chance to drive one and they are all over it like a rash :lol

My girlfriend is the same, she gets crazy road rage though, I thought she was going to drive over this Fiat 500 once that cut us up

Open both front doors and look down below bottom hinge and you'll see a load of crud. Hose it all out! God knows why but the sunroof drain exits down there.

Check inside the wheel arch especially joint between inner wing. It rots out there so could be that.

I'm pulling the wings of soon to fix them and underseal there will check drains when it stops raining

If and it's only an if the inner wings and wheel arch are rotted out you will need them welding up.

Yep good job I have a mig welder had to do inner wings and sills on my transit two years ago at least I was able to get the panels for that

Craig8661, did you have any joy in tracking down where this water was coming from ? I've got a similar problem on my 99 T11 LWB. I can see where the water is getting in to the drivers side footwell, water is getting between the bulkhead and cabin floor and tracking down until it comes out at the plate joints. However I can't fathom out how the water is getting in there in the first place. I've re-sealed the plate under the wipers, cleaned the crap out of the drain below the hinges, tigersealed the bulkhead seam in the engine bay and still the water gets in. I did have some welding work done on the drivers side wheel arch this has all been undersealed and looks solid. In addition the water gets in when the car has just been stood in the rain hence not being flicked up by the wheel when moving. I'm stumped.
