Ballache over!

Changing the discs was actually a lot less hassle than I was expecting. The fixed hubs made the job a bit easier too, I reckon. Biggest hassle was freeing the seized upper caliper guide pins......

Both sets of pads head plenty of meat on them, but the discs were pretty goosed, so it was a good job I had it in mind to change them anyway.

Split CV boot kit was a piece of cake to install.......as long as you keep things clean & take your time they go together just fine. Obviously not as good as a one-piece boot, but the time saving & ease is worth it in my view. The CV joint needs changing, so the boot can be changed over to a one-piece then

Oil change done too........next job is front & rear diffs, gearbox, transfer cox, & a brake fluid & coolant change :thumb2

Glad it's over

Cheers fellas. Just starting to weigh up the damage to myself now.........

1/ Squashed mouse & typing finger (Just realised, lol)

2/ Twatted myself on the forehead with tyre iron while pressing pistons back into caliper body (own fault......probably quite funny to watch)

3/ Various missing patches of skin on hands. Knuckles, mostly

4/ Various other tender bits mostly caused by heating stuff up with the torch & then forgetting I'd just made them hot & picked them up

Brakes are good though :lol
