Cncfabs is a member on here, he breaks these and should be able to help you :thumb2

Which part are you looking for exactly? the center console buttons on headliner?

or the sensor that must be attached to the door?

I take it the light isnt coming on when you open the door? :nenau

Hi again

The issue is with the driver's door only - all the other doors cause the internal lights to come on when they are opened, but not with the driver's one.

I have disconnected the black sensor thing which has a button - when the button is pressed fully IN, I haven't been able to register any connection with the 3 male pins - I would have expected that two of the pins would connect when the button is IN?

The female connector is white and has three positions - looks a bit like a miniture 3 pin household plug (the wires are RED (equivalent to the EARTH position on a mains plug), LIGHT BLUE (equivalent to the NEUTRAL position on a mains plug), and BLACK (equivalent to the LIVE position on a mains plug).

I am guessing that the button switch is supposed to connect the Light Blue and Black wires together when the door opens, but I am scared of testing this in case I cause a short....:eek:

** UPDATE::

I have now managed to separate the sensor button assembly, and can see how this switch operates. Obviously the connection is made when the button is fully OUT (not IN as posted earlier - :eek: ) .

I'm going to check the thing out and see if I can fix it......

Or if applicable switch them around from passenger and drivers door to see if sensor (mechanism) it at fault :thumb2

I had a heck of a job trying to find one of these - annoying as I kept leaving my lights on and flattening the battery as I didn't have the reminder alarm :doh

Eventually one came up on fleece bay

When I first go my car, I had a problem with that switch not always turning the interior light on, andas I could not find one for sale, I ended up taking it apart, tweaked the contacts a bit, and put it all back together with plenty of silicon grease... I then discovered that the Drivers switch is different to the others, as it has the second set of contacts which tell the ECU the door is open, for the lights on alarm, and keys in the ignition alarm, which suddenly started working after my fix.

You could PM Cncfabs as he's breaking a few at the min so should have one

Well, I did try taking it apart. It was well compromised and following a lot of fiddling ended up realising that it was beyond help. :(

As was pointed out by Lazy-Ferret, the driver's one is different.

I'm currently in contact with Cncfabs who is sorting a replacement. :)
