Front brake hoses

Garage tells me the likely cause of my sticky calipers could be the hoses, I have done it on petrol cars is there anything to watch out for on a 94 Maverick?

I would change garages.....how can the hoses be causing sticky claipers?
If your front calipers are sticking then its probably the slider pins have seized or the pistons are sticking.

Don't see this at all, sounds like the garage is making it up. :doh

The calipers usually get stiff in their seals, particularly if it is a long time since the pads were changed. With my old Terrano, which only did about 6k miles each year, I had to strip the front brakes every couple of years and ease the calipers in and out to the full travel a dozen times or so. This would then free them off until next time.

I only do about 2-3,000 a year and have had the Mav for 4 years so well overdue
That was their other diagnosis which I was going to do ASAP.
I was confident I would not hit any unforseen snags with freeing the pistons
As a collapsed hose was suggested as a reason for clutch slip on this forum their hose option sounded valid
