GT500

Hey Dadba, was that GT500 the two stroke ram air engine? I had the GT185 twin cylinder.

Jim T

PS I was still at school in 1981:rolleyes:
It was a two stroke but not the ram air thing.
Lad that had it before me raced it. Then put electrics on it (lights etc).
Fast for the day but it blew something or other within the engine. Had to happen whilst I took a girlie for a spin didnt it.
Crashed the Z1000 at 40mph With my now wife on it too. We both ended up in hospital.
Humber threw its big end out with girlies in the back. They say girlies and bikes go hand in hand. Maybe not together for me any rode up.
The KH250 blew a pot whilst taking a left hand bend doing bout 60-70mph. Lucky for me nowt coming other way cos it flipped me to other side of road as back wheel locked for split second till I quickly yanked the clutch in.
Best fun ever was the CR250.

Bombing around Europe though I did manage to do 106 000 miles in a MkI Astra GTE in just over just over three years.......
