Going to attempt to build a fridge slide tomorrow, I’ll try and post some pics tomorrow evening whether it’s a disaster or success. :thumbs

There’s me thinking you’d got a little too inspired by the winter olympics and then I realised you meant draw runner type thing. :lol:lol

All doable wheelie.
I made mine out of some Dexion shelving sections.
My tip would be to spend your money on some good fully extending runners to really be able to trust the installation work well.
Our little pride and joys weigh a bloody ton when they're loaded and fully extended.

I should of scrolled down... Just spent an age studying the photo with my head on a 90 degree angle! :doh

If you're in Windows Right click on the picture and then left click on Rotate Left/Right (whichever way you need it to rotate)

;)

I will be using the same 45kg draw runners that I have in my storage box and some aluminium angle, if that fails I’ll try some unistrut

Right, materials for the job plus an off cut of ply I had left over from the drawers, total cost £50.00 plus 2hrs labour.
2x 2mtr 51mm Ali angle
2x 45kg drawer runners
4.8mm pot rivets
I cut the angle to 750 mm long 4 pieces, fitted the drawer runners to the Ali angle raising up the inner angle to give me approx 20mm clearance, fitted the ply and screwed the angle to the top of my drawers. I have bolted through at the back for extra strength when fully open but used screws elsewhere. Just need some material to cover the ply and bobs your uncle.
Let's have some constructive criticism as this is my first attempt

Does it work?
In that case it's spot on.
I will, of course, be stealing some or all of this design.

It works a treat, I've impressed myself saved about 250 quid on a shop bought one. Feel free to use whatever you want that's why I put it up and the Ali, rivets and drawer runners came from ironmongerydirect.com

I'm impressed, I'm going to put some drawers in the back if mine but not planning a fridge, I was thinking of doing something for a fridge in the future but I'll just build the drawers now safe in the knowledge I can do what you've done and have a quality setup!!

I like that a lot mate!

You've done well there! :thumbs

Bob's your Uncle! :lol
