So I got me some nice fwh's too hopefully improve my mpg over my current fixed hubs

How do I clean the hubs ? Does the outset cap come off ? Or should I just soak it in petrol a few times over night, then repack it like a bearing by forcing grease in with my palm ????

Also, what do I remove from the fixed hub ?

Cheers

I don't think they will fit, will they? I think the drive system is quite different on the fixed hub models :nenau

No its the same so will fit.....but i was told the other day by someone wanting hubs that the later hubs were different and wheels wont fit..so providing the hubs clear the wheels you should be ok

srs? no idea what that means!

there is a download on cleaning the hubs, I think it starts with a spring clip on the inside :thumb2

Ah ok cheers, yeh my steelies will clear no prob

So, any advice on which bit too swap :D

sorry I don't get abbreviations, not through being a noob it's just not the way my brain is wired.

But i really, really, really, don't think they will fit! I hope you prove me wrong!

I remember back when i had TD's with the horrible 'better in the bin' auto hubs I researched with for an Nissan and there were 2 different models, all last to time now. But I think the drive shaft length and splines may be different - though I will stand corrected!

Maybe, CNFabs would know :nenau

forgot to say: this is interesting as if they do then manual hubs should fit, now that I would consider :thumb2

Take off the fixed hub then you need the hub complete with brake rings and snap ring hope you got all the bits some sellers advertise the hub on its own without the other bits which isnt very usefull:thumbs

I am watching this thread with interest, though I wouldn't go down that route myself!

Well Fez has sold me just the outer bit ...

If you need other bits for it let me know, I am not sure what is needed for you to convert it.

I just took the hubs off as spares for mine.

Fook knows mate, I figured you knew what you were selling me

I was after a non fixed hub solution, but it would seem these bits are useless to me :lol

You need the other bits attached to the driveshaft with the snapring to make it work

Excuse the shit pic, this is one of what I have
