found couple 4x4 sites s.yorks

i was working my nightshift when one of the lads left behind a 4x4 magazine so i borrowed it found couple 4x4 sites in south yorkshire that i will given the time pay a visit,..one is just off j29 M1 fun days on sundays £25.00 per car play all day toilets & hot food available to book call gary 07979 255399 ...........the other site is situated at old frickley colliery but looking at the website it looks a real tough nut to crack i dont fancy my chances on this one ! to book tele charlie 07836 544335 ..thought id just pass on the info guys :thumb2

just up the road from me, could fancy some of that myself, maybe after the carsington meet, we could organise a day there:nenau, when we've got to know everyones limits.

yeah just had a look at some youtube video's, disco's getting stuck, hilux's too, and looks like unless youve got massive tyres or a lift youll be grounding on everything, and looks like it holds loadsa water too.

hey up meatball , yeah not a million miles from me j29 the advert says all sites close to j29 so must be a few for begginers up, doesnt look to have a website only contact is either email [email protected] or telephone 07979 255399 approved instructors on site.. sounds good fun & yes after carsinton im up for a 2nd meet . ive gotta remove my stabilizer plate off tow bar otherwise im ploughing a foot deep:lol ill see if i can ring this guy but sounds like just show up pay & play :clap oh as for frickley think the only place we may gain traction is car park!! its deep

Fricklys just up the road from me used to take my disco1 there it can be very unforgiving not many times i didnt come back with some damage and before someone says no not because it was a landrover:lol plenty of fun though

ive just spoken to the guy at j29 site, he is a local farmer with lots acres of land spare but he says he,s had to cancell fun days:doh as a terrano fell in a 5ft hole damaging his car & the guy caused grief at the sight, he said he is willing to let me use the sight in june but stipulates he doesnt want hassle, i told him its just group guys wanting bit fun with there motors nothing else & its upto the individual any damage that accurs on there vehicle, first thing park up check by foot! ..he asked me to keep intouch so hopefully june we could have a meet up :thumbs

no worries kamsin, be able to forward more info as looks like june as for lay out & conditions its a case of suck it & see at the mo but sounds intresting he may give us the field or woods for the day so fingers crossed on that one..yes carsinton next weekend first time my motors ever seen grass let alone off roading , my last motor went on a course heart stopping hillsides mud to door locks etc had a fantastic day never once got stuck but somehow the terrano in my view gives me the impression it wont live up to my old toyota ..... ah well gentle introduction grass at carsington looking forward to it:thumbs

but yeah good idea to walk round first, im sure i could get a few sensible lads to come along too, if the bloke is good enough to let us use his land the least we could do is respect it:thumb2

and im just in derby, got friends at alfreton and thats 20 mins from my house so cant be that far away:thumb2

yeah bang on that meatball, apparantly some guys had been on his site using winches & snapped few tree,s but the guy that dropped in the hole obviously never checked out any route first ,he is only a farmer not a 4x4 competition organizer so its just common sence to check first , im pretty sure if we enjoy our day we will be coming again its just a fun day not many sites close to the doorstep roughly 8 junctions away up m1 for me

the hollymoorside site is local to me & a mate of mine has been on there quite a few times he organisers a full weekend on there every year the 1 this year is on 28th/29th july if anyone wants to go along i can get more details for you

Me and r1cho went for a walk around the site recently and all what I would say is there is a limited track for standard trucks and I would expect any truck
Is going to come away with damage or a couple of under carriage knocks
