...i was having a bad day today, so me and Heidi went out for a drive to town, then for a drive out for a walk up Saddleworth.

Anyway, pulling into multi storey car park, hears thie knocking...hmm...figured it was engine bay related so had a stress and walked off to the shops.

came back, nothing, odd, so off we drove to Saddleworth and when we parked up we could hear it again, 'cept this time from the back. gets out, and thankyou very much the rear silencer has detached itself from the exhaust, see attached:

new rear exhaust? how much we talking here, and is it DIYable?

the frustrating thing is i was going to call a mechanic in elland this afternoon to book the car in to sort this damned idle issue i have once and for all, and fit two new front shocks to sort the MOT advisory, then this.

im SURE there is a gremlin somewhere that has it in for me.

oh, hold on, might not be as bad as i thought, didnt realise that the tail pipe was a seperate peice, correct?

cheers Zippy, had a look, MUCH cheaper at Milners thankfully. im also ordering a few other bits, i want to do an oil change, and lsd change, cant find lsd oil on there but ordered oil filter plus sump washer, tail pipe and gasket and mounting rubber just in case.

i dont mind messing about thats for sure, i need to do it, if i want to learn, i have to do these kind of jobs myself, end of the day if i get very stuck, theres a garage 1 minute down the road!:clap
