Please forgive me if I've posted this in wrong section: I just cannot get used to the Forum!
I have for sale, the rear pair of seats from a 1997 diesel five door Maverick. I have no idea what to ask for them, so if anyone is interested in making an offer, go ahead.
I have so much difficulty finding my way through this site (very old age and memory problems) that I'd prefer any interested member to e-mail me direct at: [email protected] or call me at: 01692 581344.

Banshee,

I don't understand.
The reason I ask interested parties to contact me via my phone or e-mail address, is because I'm 78 and have worsening memory problems. I just never seem to be able to reach the part of this site I want!

With MOT imminent, I need an off-side rear lamp assembly for my 1996 5door 2.7L diesel. Tel: 01692 581344, or [email protected]

That's what I meant matey, some of the "technical" members still struggle with uploading pics to the site as it's not very picture upload friendly and only allows 1 picture to be uploaded per post if using the forum facility, others use online photo hosting websites.

If you fancy giving it a go to upload some pics I created a guide using Photobucket;

I wasn't knocking you mate, just given you'd already explained that you'd been having navigation problems, Briggie asking for pics probably wasn't wise :doh

If you do struggle buddy, drop a message back on here and I'll give you my e-mail address and I'll get them uploaded for you :thumbs

Banshee,
Many thanks for your kind offer.
I'm hoping to get a friend to photograph the seats and e-mail the pictures to me, I can then forward (I'm capable of that!) them to any interested party.

Regards,

David Rand.

Banshee,
I now have 4/5 photos of pair of rear seats for sale, but each one is as a separate e-mail and I don't know how to send them as a single composite
of the lot.
They are in very clean condition, but I don't have the skills to remove the appropriate seat belts.
Should anyone wish to buy them and needed the seat belts they are welcome to remove them when collecting the seats, just so long as they replace the panels.
Many thanks for your help.

Will this be the lamp assembly in the bumper, or the brake light assembly further up?

Just thought I'd ask, as some members on here are breaking various cars, and will probably have the part you want.

To save time, and to help David, can anyone post availablity of either.

Uncle Rustic.

I have a pair of rear clusters for the bumper. Will need to see a photo of yours to match them though.

Here are the seat pictures for Dave :thumb2

Rear Light Plug

For David a pic of the plug you are trying to remove, dirt gets under the bar and so it will not go down so flush out all the crud and possibly use a screwdriver to push the bar down, you have to get that little square pip on the right down enough to remove the plug, Rick

Rick,
Many thanks for your help, especially the picture, but I find it impossible to remove the top bit of the connector from the bottom. In spite of having gently squirted water over it, followed by a good brushing, I just could not get that bloody little knob to release the thing (spent over an hour at it!).
Hopefully the MOT mechanic can do it in a couple of minutes!

Banshee,
Your putting my seat pics onto the Forum for me is much appreciated, as are all the other offers of help I've received from Forum members.

Rick,
Thought you'd like to hear that my old (1996) Mav passed it's MOT on Friday, without my using the replacement cluster and it only had six advisories, one of which was, slight wear on n/s ball-joint of roll-bar, so that will solve (hopefully) the sloppy bouncing around I get at low speed on uneven roads.
I'm mightily relieved and happy to know that I've a spare cluster for next years MOT.
My thanks to this Forum for all the help and offers I've received.

Best buy for A/R bar ball joints?

I've decided to replace the L/anti-roll bar ball joint on my 1996 Mav 2.7 (MOT advisory) and would like to know who the more experienced members would suggest as a reliable supplier.

local motor factors are my advice, if you have problems they are face to face and as they supply to the local trade they usually supply good stuff to maintain their credibility, Rick
