On your PC I mean!
Seriously, if you want to encrypt files (documents, photos, etc..) to keep stuff away from prying eyes (wife, kids, vicar..) I've used this product for ages. Like AVG and SpyBot its free for use on a home PC.

But two tips:
1. If someone looks on your PC they will see the filename but only a 'No Entry' icon and they won't be able to open the file without the password...so if the filename is a giveaway change it.
2. DO NOT FORGET THE PASSWORD YOU GIVE THE FILE - its 128 bit encryption and to all intents and purposes (i.e. for the likes of us!) unbreakable...
