Hi guys,

Does anyone know the correct bulb for rear offside fog light. Europarts list 380 twin filament, halfords 382 single filament which the bulb head is too big !!! I've read somewhere it's 207s which is single filament which looks like the one that's come out but might not be correct ? Thanks in advance.

I would expect it to be a 21 watt single filiament, single connection, bayonet type with standard pins as used in indicator bulbs, also on trailer indicator bulbs.

But in 22 years, I have not changed one on the Mav :doh
Mind you apart from a tail lamp bulb, (that was an odd one) and headlight upgrades, I have not changed many.
Do you not have a H4 type bulb kit, next time Aldi or Lidl sell them, get one. :thumb2

Yep 382 type bulbs, 21watt. Could it be your old bulb was incorrect?

The sidelight bulb is same size of metal cap so either a sidelight bulb fitted or maybe you got the fog and side light bulbs wrong way around when you removed light unit. Sorry if that sounded insulting it wasn't meant to.

Thanks for the input, my Terrano is an 05reg so not sure if they made any changes but the 382 glass bulb head doesn't fit through the hole. The one I removed was on further inspection a 207, so just got one of them from halfords. Just hope it's right !!!

Am I right in thinking that yours is the rear lamp that has a grey surround and the lens are convex, almost a bubble for want of a better description?

If so I'll take a photo of my 54 plate rear lamp unit and fog lamp bulb.

I'm convinced the bulb you have shown is a sidelamp bulb.

Cheers ! So might be right in thinking it's the wrong bulb then. Got partial MOT in the morning at 9.30am !!!!

So is it the centre red light in the unit that you have photographed? If this is correct then you have just fitted a sidelight bulb into the sidelight.

In the photo there is a clear lens, obviously the reverse light but the same lens on the drivers side lamp unit is the fog lamp.

Hope this makes sense

Yes Jim I get you, cheers for that. It's not the bulb then because the bulb in that one looks ok :(
