Morning all,

I am just about to try to fit a new head unit and 12 cd changer and couldn't find any "How to" on the subject. If anyone can direct me to some info I'd be very grateful.

I read in the instruction manual for the car that the Nissan changer would have fitted under the passenger seat. Is it easy to fit an after-market one in the same place, or would I need some special Nissan mount in there?

As usual, all replies gratefully received.

Oh, and yes, the new system is a birthday present. For today. Hoorah.

Happy birthday to you -dance-

If you do a search, there are threads running on this subject, as it crops up a lot.

Try the electrical section first.

Head unit no problem. Followed some instructions from this site and undid the four screws holding the dash bit in. Then unscrewed the stereo and fited the new 'un.

I'll leave the positioning and fitting of the cd changer to the weekend. Quit while you're ahead, I say. Bask in the glory of every little success. 8)

Thanks for the direction Cameraman.

I'll update this thread, or post many questions, when I've had a go at fitting the changer unit.

Cheers for now.

The nissan auto changer is often fitted under the drivers seat 8) So there should'nt be a prob fitting yours there or if the cable is long enough you could fit it in the boot. There is no given place to fit them just where you want it  I've seen them fitted in the boot, glove box, in the dash, rear 1/4 panels arm rest etc
