Has anyone fitted a pair of front extra driving lights to a Hyundai Santa FE ?

The front plastic bumper appears to sit about 4-5 mm above the steel bumper backing / cross member.

I was thinking I could drill through the plastic and into the steel cross member / bumper backing use a spacer to sit between the gap and mount a pair of decent driving lamps on this steel section. Might be a challenge to tighten the nuts up as access is limited so might need to remove plastic bumper first to facilitate this.

Has anyone done it and was the mounting firm enough so as not to flex on bumpy roads ?

Has anyone seen a Santa Fe with extra front lights ??

cant say ive ever seen the front of a santa fe ...... seen a tuscon with front fogs tho

Fitting Driving Lights

Just realised that where I want to mount them the bonnet will come down on top of them unless I use small or square lights.

To make a bracket to push them forwards will be messy & ugly.

Methinks some better bulbs in the headlamps will be my starting point !

Not familiar with the car, but on a couple of my cars, where there was a lack of room on the front, and one that the grill was mounted on, and lifted up with the bonnet, I fixed small spot lamps into the grill. On my Scooby, I had those small oval Ring "Ice" blue spot lamps, and in a blue car, they looked very smart. They give a good beam out as well for something so small.

On the Volvo 240, I got some unusual lamps (Projectors, I think) that had a half hemisphere lens, only about 1 1/2 inch round, but were about 6 inches deep, amazing beam on them.

Grill lights

Nice idea but the electric fan is situated on the right hand side immediately behind the grille.

Good option for a lot of motors I guess.
