hi guys, i bought an intercooler off R1cho and it came today:D im wanting to fit it to my 2.7TD.

im just wanting some tips on fitting it, i'll need to mod the piping on the engine and fit i nice scoop on the hood:D:naughty

has anyone else done this?

any pics?

you will probly need an intake manifold, dunno where u could get one tho :augie :augie :augie :lol:lol:lol:lol:lol

Flexi metal pipe  is that air tight :nenau
I think the outlet is bigger than the inlet . So why cant you just use a silicone pipe reducer ;)

It can be done like "Makeitfit" said, but its a bit of a bugger. If you had the inlet life would be better, but it depends on what you want. You can get all sort of pipe off the net, you just need to make it fit (No pun intended)

Right, just remove the elbow and refit the connector bit which has the flexi pipe on it onto the inlet mani, simples :thumbs

I think I'm going to have a look tomoz if it ain't raining:rolleyes: as it's all a little confusing:augie I'll also get some piccies:thumb2

My plan was to take the metal pipe off from the turbo that goes to inlet m, I was going to use some pipe to connect turbo to IC. I'll need reducaers and things as makeitfit says. Its connecting the IC to inlet M that could prove tricky. I'll take the 90 degree valve thing off the inlet m and see where I go from their. Thanks for all the responses:clap. Nothings ever simple:lol:augie

what are you going to bolt it to.i would go for front mounted one more efficent and should be easier to fit

The are plenty of pics on this site, some showing the front mounted and also the holes to be cut in the front panel too.
