Fitting a Speedbox tuning box to a Terrano 2 1998 with a Zexel fuel pump

I've seen the pics of fitting the Speedbox to a Bosch equipped vehicle with a large round plug. My car does'nt have such a plug. On the left side of the engine looking from the front is a row of square plugs. Donator store selling the Speedbox say fitting is "not easy", but they do offer a box for a Zexel pump. All I can see at the left side of the engine is a cast device driven by the fan belt with two rubber hoses but no electrical connections. I dont want to order a box and really struggle to find where to connect it so has anyone had experience fitting one to a vehicle with a Zexel fuel pump. My local Nissan dealer says this year of car has the Zexel pump so I need to order this specific one. If the seller on his website says "not Easy", how not easy? Help please

sorry mate cant help but i got 1 from that ebay person for the bosch pump and love it they r very helpfull ring them up (i did i no its itlay but if u need info only way) and ask if they could send u the fitting insctuction then u can make ur own mind up i did this and glad i got it good luck:thumb2

With the Zexel power box, you need to solder some wires at the ECU in the passenger footwell.

So are you proficient at soldering and identifying wires?

The ECU can also be located in the center of the dash just behind the ash tray:thumbs

So where is the ECU, behind the dash or passenger footwell, presume behind the carpet? What is the black box under the drivers seat? Theres so many connectis and wires under the bonnet are any of these wires possible connection points? Can the use of Scotchlok connectors avoid soldering? Thanks for advice so far.(Terrano 2 1998 TDi Intercooler)

On a 98....i'd go for under the carpet in the footwell.

Scotchloks are the work of the devil in my opinion.
