After moving home and having this rotten cold,I tried again today solving the dome light issue and removed the timer box ie one above the fuse panel with 3 connects. And then remembered I don't have my multi-meter with me. All I could do is unplug everything and plug it all back in (I knew this wouldn't solve the problem).

I'm going to leave that for now. I still need to locate the ground for it.

Heater stopped working on all settings (including setting 4). Removed glove box and found the connection ie white block connector, that sits underneath the fan box, was rusty and terminals corroded. Rewired and now all working happily (yay).

Mot time next month and thought I would check past mot history ie last year and the previous, I had the last years advisories repaired when I first got the T. It'll still be repaired on the outcome of the mot.

Looking back at past years nothing major, usual stuff. Then at the beginning when mot's became electronic registered (I think). I'd missed when searching through the history before I purchased the T, that the car has had replacement clocks at 35000 miles. The current clock shows 125000 so I have a car that is 160000 miles. The previous owner had thought it was only 124000 when he sold it to me lol. After a rebuilt gearbox and new clutch and ip and turbo by the previous owner, drives very well. Last owner had the car for 6 years and the dome lights never worked during his ownership.
