Has anybody got a picture or photo of the fan belt adjusters on a maverick swb 2.4
petrol I can see the princple of the adjusters ,but as the alternator is mounted to swing the wrong way to get any pressure on the belt befor tightening.

Fan Belt

Hi I have a 2.4 Terrano, the alternator adjusts to the left on a bolt adjuster, and the power stearing (seperate belt) adjusts on the idler pulley to the right on a similar bolt, incidently what is your ignition timing set at and what round town MPG do you get, Regards Rick

if one needs changing change then both while you got your spanners in hand.

recently done mine when i had to change the water pump and stat so if you need any help give me a shout as its still fresh in my mind:thumbs

I have electronic ign too, but the diggi is adjustable, I did timming chain cover so original poition disturbed, my timming must be out only getting 15-18 mpg round town.
