Bought 4 Falkan A/:confused:T 265/70/15 tyres just over 2 years ago from Camskill and had them shipped to France as cheaper than here.Car was off the road for roughly a year sourcing transplant engine so car didn't see much road.Long story short ALL 4 of the tyres developed splits on the outer and inner edges, not on the side wall. One punctured and had to be replaced(had to buy a pair),have fitted Cooper Discoverer AT3s,now need to replace the remaining three.I contacted Camskill to find out if they had ever heard of this problem to which they said "never" and suggested that I send them the tyres by post(from France) so their expert could have a look at them before deciding whether I should get a refund. To be honest I wasn't interested and thought it unlikely that a refund after this time would happen.I was more concerned that all four tyres had developed the same splits and the dangers this causes.Has anybody else had or heard of this with Falkan tyres?

I've known that problem with most tyres after not being moved for that period of time to be honest

Tyres

Always happens to caravan tyres when van left standing for long periods.
Treads still perfect. Its happened to me in the past.

'fraid it happens to all tyres with little use. Wife has a horse trailer which only does an occasional run to collect 44 bales of hay and the four "max-miler"s on that went exactly the same way, had loads of tread, but loads of cracks!

Some years ago I read about a product you could apply to tyres which would prolong their life if left standing for long periods. Darned if I know what it was called. It was aimed mainly at the classic vehicle market, but could be useful for others with "part-time" extra vehicles.

might be of some help to you, dunlop SP sportmax J tyres manufactured between a certain year have a no quibble recall due on them, immediate replacement if the tyre is coming away from the side wall

seen it twice now on JAGS, doesent matter if tyre is bold or new, replace it free of cost to owner!! :D :thumb2

I had Falken AT's on my old T2 never had any problems with them no cracks etc apart for a little nick in the side wall which happed off road as my line wasn't 100% spot on but never lost any air from that tyre

I'll try and get some photos on here so you guys can see the splits.
