Hi
trying to get this right,i have a factory fitted nissan radio/cassette,i am trying to fit my own cd player and have tried two different harness adaptors to convert the wiring to my own cd player with no joy.i bought one in halfords and one on line and was told they fitted.Has anybody had similar problems or got a nissna part number for the correct harness.I dont want to cut and butcher any wires as i am not that confident.I can forward a photo of the unit in question if that will help anybody solve my problem
Thanks

where did you get hold of the fascia plate with the hazard light switch

do you have an item number from the seller mate im having a job finding one thanks

What year etc vehicle is it going into?

My 2001 Terrano used an adaptor bought from a local in car entertainment specilaist shop, think it was autoleads branded - works a treat.

http://www.autoleads.co.uk/ you can find a local dealer and see what they can supply.

My Mistral is a Jap import. I replaced the Japanese radio/cassette with a Sony cd/radio. When I used a conversion kit from Halfords I could use cd but radio side of things was u/s .... an electrician mate of mine cut & joined a wire and everything worked fine.
Matt.

Thanks for that,my terrano is a year 2000,i have tried the autoleads website and noticed they dont sell to the public,i have tried to access their distibuter list to see if there is a stockist near me but surprise surprise it wont give me the info

Mine is a 2000, I got my lead at Halfords no problem, it was a stock item.

Any better/cheaper ways of going about the change from a 1.5 DIN standard radio/cassette to a single DIN after market unit.

Found this on ebay but they must be having a giraffe at that price

The other option I can think of HB is to make one out of some 5mm MDF fibreglass & some filler then if there is room you maybe able to fit one of your radios in under your stereo
