Extra rear lights

This morning i fitted some LED's into my brake light housing so that i now have rear lights higher up the car, they look ok (imo) but i was wondering if anyone thought they might impact an MOT. They a slightly dimmer than my normal back lights and clearly distinguishable from the brake lights and obviously most modern cars have combination lamps fitted anyway.
I plan to fit an anti mot fail switch :augie in the back panel when it turns up, anyway any thoughts?.

if fitted and dont work cos of switch then thats a fail i think
if fitted should work

As long as they are additional lights, and they don't dazzle there shouldn't be a major issue, however I always disconnect mine on the eve of the MOT just in case.

I think they provide additional safety, as the main lights are very low.

hi, i fitted mine in last year before mot and was ok mine was simple fit of one 24 led strip , clear silicon take out bulb fitting silicon ends of strip together let set. then couple of dabs silicon on back of strip stick on inside of light fitting you have plenty time to position right. then connect to bulb holder loom when set good luck.

did you use red LED's or white?

Had a play with the LEDs again as i found that they didnt disperse the light very well. Cut the LED holders down so that most of the LED is exposed inside the light fitting, working much better.
