Glass fibre resin & thin sheet matting

I am a big fan of glass fibre thin sheet matting - the one thats like tissue paper. Dab it in place and then wet the matting with resin. Takes up all the shapes round welds etc and keeps the water out.

You will need a fan heater to help it cure this time of year.

I did the whole boot floor from underneath on an old Mini and it never rotted again in the 12 years I had it !

nope I tried that, get yourself some tigerseal, but don't know if it'll go down a tube

I was using Tigerseal last week and the end of my sealant gun came off, I'd had that gun for about ten years, I was gutted!
I had one of those cheap pressed steel ones in the garage as a spare, so I tried that, it crumpled in my hand.:doh

I ordered one of these and it's worth the money, I'm hoping it'll be the last one I have to buy ever!:thumbs

Tigerseal works best when it's warm, maybe stand in a bucket of hot water before use at this time of year.:nenau

Just to update this thread for others in the future.
It was easier to unbolt the servo from underneath the steering wheel. Only 4 x 13mm nuts and a very simple to remove pin (like what girls put in their hair). Then some pliers onto the mushroom end and push the bolt through the brake pedal. The 4x13mm are much easier with a deep socket + extension bar, spanner will do but it takes longer and your bent double under the pedals so quicker is good. Back to the engine bay, I unclipped a couple of brake lines and slid out the brake fluid bottle to give a bit more room.
I wedged the servo with a well placed screwdriver.
Just enough room for the sealant gun. Not a pretty job but It's rained today and so far I have dry carpets.:clap

I read the title of this thread, and thought you were looking for a "Silencer"... very 007...:lol:lol:lol
