On way back from Robin hood bay Sunday the exhaust broke in half on the middle section, it's also snapped all the rubber mountings question is how big a job is it to replace?

It took me about 6 hours to replace the whole exhaust on mine, which included breaking (and repairing) a stud on the manifold, and freeing up all the rusted fixings etc.

It much better if you can get the car nice and high, as well. I did this by putting the front wheels on a set of car ramps, and cut off railway sleepers under the rears.

You probably find it easier to remove the rear section as well, and refit it afterwards.

Good luck.

Alan

I had my front section done last year as it was in half at the flexi joint, I had to renew the rest a few weeks back (in half behind the box) when I returned from a caravan trip, get under there and spray all the nuts/bolts with WD40.
As stated above, get it high up and you will have room to play, you can get at the downpipe bolts from the N/F/ wheel arch :)

Middle and rear can be done without jacking the truck up. Wear eye protection though, as those bits drop everywhere.
Middle section should take about an hour if you have an angle grinder for the bolts.
You will need new gaskets, new nuts and bolts, a smear of exhaust cement, and maybe new exhaust hangers.

Best regards,

Rustic

My front pipe is a bit shitty tbh, looks like a total nightmare to get out ??

How do you retrieve it once the nuts and bolts are all off ?

The garage who did my front pipe, said they had to remove the front prop shaft.

Got my exhaust done today, it's been of the road since I came off my hols, just didn't have time to have a bash cos I thought it would take me hours, and only took 3.
Had to replace the middle section with the one I am scrapping, weld a patch on the front section, and replace 2 of the rubber mountings.
It's a nice feeling when you get a job done and saved £150 in the process :).
