My exhaust has snapped, it's the part with the flexi at the front and with a flange that bolts onto the rear box, it's the section at the passenger door basically!!. Would this be the front section??

Just so I know what to ask for when I phone for one tomorrow

How much of a pain of a job is it do carry out on these??

It's a 2004 swb 2.7 van

Thanks

No that's the front section, with the flexi,

Thanks, will phone round tomorrow, not worth trying to fix it, ebay special is only £30 so see what the local guy can get me!!

Worst part is, my focus is off the road needing two rear springs, so was using Terrano this week till I got focus fixed, now both are Broken!!! :(:(

£36inc vat from my local parts place, thought about welding it etc, but the flex is on its way out aswell, so not worth the hassle!

Is it as straight forward as i think, 5 really rusty bolts and swap it over?

exhaust nuts on the engine can be a pain especially if they are rusted up. Make sure you don't snap them.

I bet it sounds like a beast though!!!!!

I drove mine round with no front section for a few days and it sounded like a monster truck :lol

Haha yes, fuel consumption has went sky high! Every junction, traffic lights or round about, its foot to the floor & listen to it roar :D

make sure you buy some gaskets with it (go a page back) and some gasket sealant

Thats the one! its burst at the rear flange!

Ive just been out on my lunch break for a look, not holding much hope about getting the 3 bolts out of the engine end.

Thinking aloud here, what about cutting the pipe lower down on both and joining with a straight coupling and two exhaust clamps? Whats your thoughts on this?
