I've got an exhaust bracket broken and can't seem to pick one up locally without going to see a dealer. Just wondering if anyone has had similar problem or can tell where to try.

On the front pipe just backwards from the flexi joint there is a U Clamp with a bracket attached. It this U clamp and bracket that I'm after.

Thanks for the replies guys, it's item 7 on the exhaust section of the manual. Might try that place you mentioned Briggie, Milners don't list it.

Hi Jim, the "U" bolt part is easy to get, they come in all diameters, so is it not possible to bend a bit of steel and fabricate one.
Or is it possible to weld the broken bracket.
I recall that my middle bracket broke and a mate welded it a few years ago.

Hope this helps.

Yeah I think this will be the way to go. I'm going to crawl underneath this weekend and remove old bracket and see what I can do.

I don't think it's the rubber block that Pete and Zippy are looking at, shame because they seem quite cheap.

If I recall, the bracket described above is the one that supports the central box. It's a good price too.

Got it sorted!!! Looks like the transfer box that has a rubber mounting like the one pictured by Briggie, this mounting is fine. However bolted to this is an L shaped bracket which has the U Bolt through it. The bracket between the two fingers of the U bolt had rotted away. Fitted a standard U Clamp and managed to fasten the one remaining hole of the L bracket on to the U clamp. Job done and even greased the steering stops for good measure.:clap

MOT time next:doh
