Well it's that time of the year again, the time when people get together for mutual green laneing and comradeship.

Who is interested in doing a all day stint on some green lanes around herts and Essex?

Nothing to major and standard vehicles are more than welcome.

As for when, well that depends on who can make it on certain days, Sunday's are best for me.

Halfway through the day we could have a BBQ, you bring the meat that you want to eat for yourself and I will bring the BBQ and coal

Sounds good to me , can do most Sundays unless I'm out with Herts 4x4 club.

Brian

well brian, you could always invite us all along as well :lol

sunday may the 8th anyone?

any ideas of the green lanes you may want to visit would also be good or it will be me and my wife reading maps all the way lolol (trust me you dont want that as she cant read maps)

I'm out today & Monday laning :naughty then Wales next weekend :sly :naughty :D

Just had a peek

And your little club seems a busy club with lots going on.

Does ones motor have to be modified to join, it just looks like most are on the photo gallery

Not really although it helps ;O)

Trial events often have a novice section so are ok in standard cars. A few members have standard Discos and there are a couple of Freelanders and of course my standard Maverick with mud tyres which has won a first in novice and a third in open trials.

Greenlanes are generally ok but can be scratchy and rutted so possibility of some damage.

Off road courses we use are private sites and have plenty to do for standard cars and lots to watch for the non standard ones.

Lanes on the 8th are Braintree area and are discribed as scratchy and rutted , not sure if I'm going yet as other comittments ;O(

Alot of the lanes in & around Braintree are rutted & will scratch.!
There are a few near Stebbing that have bogs all year round so DO NOT GO IN, IN A STANDARD TRUCK.! YOU WILL GET STUCK.!

I just managed to get myself out.! ( although had me winch & 2 other truck's )

i wouldnt go through there in a boat never mind a truck :lol:lol:lol

Generally the lanes we do have been pre driven during the week so an alternative route can be given if required for those not so brave , or is that stupid ;O)

Adz ,I think we done that lane a few months back. was a lot deeper then and I turned back . I think thats the one where the start goes past a house . the lady there kindly took our photos to report us for using a byway as she pointed out to us they were for locals to walk their dogs down and ride their horses ;O)
