Ladies/Gents,
What are people running at the back of their trucks I. E bog standard exhaust system/decat/ss silencer/sports silencer etc. What are the opinions in relation to aftermarket exhausts on diesel cars??? The idea of getting more gas out of the car quicker would potentially mean greater engine efficiency, better response etc but does it actually enhance anything at all. I have always modified my cars, nothing major but after market exhaust/alloys/hose upgrades the list goes on.

Be interested to know what people think:thumb2

Had to replace the standard exhaust last year, used a full system from Milners. But not very happy with the sound, did not notice anything performance wise.

Anyone tips for a SWB exhaust?

my t2 had a full ex from flexy pipe, sounds ok no extra performance though.

Stainless Powerflow all the way through, it sounds mean, very grunty under acceleration but not over the top like Alex with just half a front downpipe flopping around somewhere under the truck :doh

No silencers on the Trol as they were getting battered offroad. Replaced with stainless pipe and now exits just in front of the rear axle.

The turbo and the cat straight after (forms part of the downpipe) seems to deaden a lot of the noise on the 3.0 so it isn't too much noisier.

Still produces a nice growl when revved though and is definitely livelier :thumbs

Only got the centre box on mine as the tail pipe hasn't got any & it's a Nissan system same noise level as other T2's but do here a little turbo whistle. You don't have to worry about the cat as the 2.7's don't have one:thumbs

Hehe, mine finishes after the front doors on the passenger side and has a piece of jaguar S type pipe to blow the smoke out the side :naughty

I have done the clamp to secure it, if it ever dies I will do a Pete and replace the whole system including the very restrictive header, seems silly otherwise apart from some noise.. :nenau

19yrs on and my Troll is still on the original Nissan unit throughout:thumb2
Tuff stuff these Trolls
