I have a late 2000 t2 /2.7td se engine code td27ti that has 101bhp with intercooler . my father in law has a early 2001 t2 tdi 2.7 se+ that has 128bhp the engine look the same and everything else the same. what gives it the increase in power and if my engine ever packed up could I just fit a tdi that has 128bhp in or is their more to it ?

when I type in my reg in to get it valued it comes back saying it 101bhp and when I type the father in laws it say 128bhp

Whats the link?

I thought all tdi were 125

Search for remap or tunit units

All the 2.7TDI's have the same output ie 125BHP:thumbs when you look at them on autotrader etc they always come up with different figures for any said car

if you read the o/p ...... one is a td and the other is a tdi :thumb2.... but ive never heard of a 2000 td ?????

on my v5 its say 2.7td not tdi and when I phoned Nissan they told me its a td with a intercooler not a tdi . I have checked the vin number with dvla and they said the v5 is right. because they can only go by what Nissan tells them to put on it and the father in laws is a tdi but I can't see the difference in the engine . I just wanted to know what makes his 125bhp and mine 101bhp

Turbo Diesel Intercooler. The clue is Tdi.
