Engine U/s

Hi All just bought a Nissan Terrano (1999) with the engine u/s - i,v got a chance of a Ford Maverick engine (1995) which i have driven. Is this engine ok for my later Terrano commercial van. I,ve noted the injection pump would have to be changed as they both different,are there other modifications i would have to do ? all your advise would be greatly aprreciated. Thanks

the later is tdi and also has balance shafts which the early one doesnt have
so in answer to ur question dont know whether it wud run properly with the early pump etc fitted to it

I have had to replace the engine in my 99 T2 a couple of years ago.

As I understand it, there are two types of engines with different fueling systems.

I ended up initially buying the wrong type of engine and after it had been fitted they could not get the timing to work with the ECU. Ended up getting another engine- something to do with one I needed having a bosch fuel pump and having to be the engine that has the crank sensor on the bell housing.

Thanks for the replies - looks like i,d better repair the engine i have in the car.
