I know, it's been a while but I did have fun :D
So back to the pump, it's in at last and timed. I bought a bargain basement gauge kit from fleabay. You get what you pay for comes to mind, but with a little fettling it worked a treat.

Everything back together again now except the throttle cables etc but they're now sourced and enroute.

Next thing I need is a set of injector washers/seals. Anyone know where to get some please :augie

Bosch has rubber leak off pipes Zexel are metal, Rick

Ah yes but the injectors themselves ? I don't have anything original to look at .
I have the later bosch type head but pretty sure zexel injectors in it ??
I read the threads are different but who knows, not I :lol

No the heads are different, Bosch injectors will not fit a Zexel head and vicky verter, Rick

Ill let you know tomorrow, Its the leak off washers that cost more make sure the ones you fit have the two holes in for the fuel return as some cheaper ones dont hence why we keep them in.

Thanks Luke, the leak off washers I have are two hole ones ;)

Got home a bit early tonight and realised I only have a week to get this thing running and in and MOT'd
Don't panic :lol
Luke I hope you posted my seals :thumb2
So engine end plate on and flywheel returned to base ;)

Here's my 3ltr friction plate , fit for a few more miles .

This is the view of what might need maching depending on clutch kit. This one has plenty of room

Clutch alignment tool is 14mm long reach socket :D
Keep it simple eh :sly

I've fitted the starter temporarily so that I can test start my work :augie

Tomorrow night I hope to get on it again :naughty

Wired up the starter and pump solenoid tonight. Spun it up for twenty seconds or so.
Need a bit more oil though :doh
Tomorrow the diesel goes in
Watch this space , assuming Mr Postie turns up.

Startup update

IT LIVES :clap
Tonight I found out the pump has an extra wire for the NATS . I didn't know the old mechanical pump trucks had it :nenau Anyway, with the stop solenoid livened up, the glow plugs heated up and a temporary starter arrangement I got the new build to fire :clap
Here is the video un edited of the exact process.
The only thing I'd done before this was to spin up the engine to purge the oil system.
