Engine rattle

My 3.0ltd di swb commercial 2005 has started to sound very rattley . It seems alot more noisier now than before, i have just changed the oil/filter but made no difference, Sounds like tappet rattle (top end) but it has those bloody shims which dosen't look like an easy job, at what mileage does anyone think a cam chain should be changed or any other idea's please. Dosen't get any less when hot. No lack of performance and no smoke or oil burning, hopefully something not to exspensive. Done 133,000 fsh.

could be alternator bearing.spray belts with water when running see if quietens down.my navara sounded like a bag of nails when belts worn sounded just like bearing clatter new belts then okagain.
