I think there is a fuse for the Glow Plug Circuit others might know where it is located.
If I remember correctly it is in the harness near the power steering reservoir, RHD vehicles, Rick
Thanks Banshee!
I can't hear the glow plug relay being activated, so I actually removed the relay, pulled off the lid and took a look inside. All seems to be OK with the relay. The relay works when I apply 12V directly(not connected to the wiring system) However, the relay is not getting any power when fitted to the wiring system. I tested it with the lid off.
All terminals look good, and it is indeed mounted inside the wing as you write.
I tested what I believe is the glow plug circuit fuse. It is a "thing" mounted on the power steering reservoir mount as Solarman writes. It seems to be OK as my tester beeps when I call the fuse so to speak.
This is not great at all I am kind of far away from everything out here. I need help, lots of help
Cheers!
you missed my first post, use easystart to get lump going,if you have some handy.other item to look at is the glow plug rail plug, white one of the 3 on top on left of engine, pull plug 2 terminals inside turn on ignition and you should get 12v across ,if not its back down the line.
From what you've written here, I would def be checking out the 80A fuse next mate :thumb2
Where is the 80A located?
Cheers!
Should be in the Auxiliary Fusebox, top left hand side of the engine bay, black box, pop the clips off, from memory I think they are blue and have a clear top so you can see if they have blown.
There are a few in there so swap them around and see if it solves your issue :thumb2
it may be a bad ing switch ie. plastic wire connector on back of switch these do have a habit of creating faults when they are worn just a thought as glow plug power is activated when ing switch is moved to position before start :thumb2
