hi all today ive been out in my 2000 nissan terrano 2 tdi just toting along it was fine but if i put my foot down the engine management light comes on and loss of power if i turn it off and on again the engine management light go,s back off and stays off till i put my foot down again so today i changed fuel filter air filter and oil i forgot the mini filter do you think this may be the problem ?

I don't know, have you tried again after doing all that ?
It could be the MAF
Get the codes and that should tell you the problem.:thumbs

yes tested it after the new items have been fitted still the same ill check the mini filter in the morning and if that fails il check the codes and the maf

I had a similar problem the other week and after plugging it in to a Snap-on diagnostic machine it told me it was the number one injector (needle lift sensor), replaced it and she purrs like a kitten now. I just thought I would get my suggestion in early. :naughty

Accessing, Reading & Erasing Engine Trouble Codes 2.7tdi

hi my truck dose not have the 14 pin obd plug its got the obd2 plug can any of you tell me how i do the Accessing, Reading & Erasing Engine Trouble Codes 2.7tdi on the obd2 plug please

If its got the obd2 plug you can't do the paper clip thing, nor can u put a generic obd2 code reader on it. Take it to a specialist with a consult 2 machine which is what I did, or go to your local Nissan dealer and they will charge u £30 to read the codes, erase them and see which ones come back after a run, then you'll know

The obd2 plug looks the same but the pins are in places that they only work with consult equipment

I tried rewiring them an all sorts but went and got it diagnosed properly in the end and it cost me £20

thanks for the info mate think ive got it running right now but we will see

well its still running ok not sure if it was cleaning the maf or if it was a blocked fuel filter but its working thank god :thumb2
